Tieguanyin tea is a type of oolong tea that originates from Anxi County in Fujian, China. It gets its name from a nearby Buddhist temple called the Guanyin.

Oolong tea is made from leaves of the same plant that green and black teas come from. The difference lies in how long the leaves ferment. Green tea leaves are unfermented, while leaves for black tea are fully fermented. Oolong comes from leaves that are partially fermented

Temple, where the tea was first produced. The name "tieguanyin" literally means "iron goddess of mercy," referring to the Buddhist goddess of compassion.

Tieguanyin tea is rich in antioxidants and has been shown to have numerous health benefits. Studies have shown that tieguanyin tea can help improve heart health, lower cholesterol levels, and reduce cancer risk. The tea has also been shown to boost cognitive function and memory.

HOW DO YOU BREW TIEGUANYIN TEA?

Tieguanyin tea is best brewed using water that is around 185 degrees Fahrenheit. Steep the tea leaves for 3-5 minutes to get the perfect cup of tea. The tea can be brewed multiple times, and the flavour will intensify with each brewing.
